It's my favorite Pixar film ❤

The only ones I acquired over the last years were Now and Then by the Beatles (shm-cd-single) and the Sweet Sounds of Heaven (shm-maxi-cd) from the Rolling Stones feat. Lady Gaga. Not a maxi, but 2 EP's from the Belgian singer Iliona were also released on cd. At least one of them is around 30 min playing time, and could also be considered as an album. Both EP's have some good songs (including the popular singles Moins Joli and Une Autre Vie - nice musicvideo btw). I just bought the Fabiana Palladino album, Pino's daughter. Overall a decent album. Not a fan of Ed 😂

I don't have any single except for the Imperial March by John Williams shaped like the Imperial Emblem. What a waste of a mini CD, one song,lol. I haven't bought any new CDs lately, i did want the INDY set but as a Disney exclusive five film set for 150 dollars they can keep it. Absurd price. I'm afraid to find out what the price for the 5 film vinyl set is, I'll just import Crystal Skull.

I was about to scream "Where is 'Now and Then'?" but then I found your other video on RUclips!!! Amazingly enough, both the Beatles and the Stones released new singles in the latter part of 2023!! Are we back in '69 again? Probably!!! The CD single was a master 'format' in the sense you could squeeze as much music as you wanted on it and still call it a 'single'. Probably an evolution of the 12" single of the '80s. Many, many artists in the '90s took advantage of this great format and put lots of rarities on their CD singles. The one that introduced me to the craze was Paul's "Hope Of Deliverance" and its 3 non-album tracks. Since then, I have amassed quite a lot of them, and have 'devoured' their extra material. Another favourite group of mine, Roxette, put all kinds of rarities on their CD singles (b' sides, interview snippets, remixes, demos, acoustic versions, edited versions of singles and of course live tracks!). Long Live this great format!!

Goosebumps, every Beatles reunion single gave me goosebumps!!! With "Now and Then" the smile was even bigger because of the ability of MAL technology to clean up John's voice so well!! We should never forget that aside from creating very complex masterpieces, the Beatles were also the masters of simplicity. In one short phrase, this is one of my descriptions of the greatest group ever to grace this planet!! I just adore "Now and Then" and I'm glad Paul decided to release it after so many years...

That store is from my father-in-law. I really like to remember the days that my partner and I helped in the weekend or on new-year eve. Back then we were hoping to take over the store. But unfortunately that’s not really a feasible idea anymore.

How quaint, I haven't been to a video store since Blockbuster went out of business. Where I rented Goldeneye and Jurassic Park Lost World and others and SNES and Playstation games. Where I bought my Star Wars CD for the special edition, etc. I worked in the grocery store next door as a clerk, I knew a kid there who was selling me on DIVX vs DVD and I said DVD would win. The store was already in trouble in the DVD era but Netflix mail away DVDs made them close. DVD is still the king of media sales, and DIVX is a forgotten memory of disc formats.

Open it!!! And btw the Japanese use three different "alphabets". The Kanji (which you see on this LD in big print), which are "borrowed" from the Chinese, Hiragana and Katakana. So nothing odd here.

Very funny that you bought the MZ-R35 from a schoolmate in 1999 cause I sold my MZ-R35 to a schoolmate the very same year. Wrong country though. 😁 I actually bought an MZ-N505 myself just two days ago and it's currently shipping to me. Very excited to use my old discs again. NetMD will be the biggest reason to get back into Minidisc for me, aside from the fact that the format is just cool as hell.

The closest Mattel ever came to reviving Dino riders brand was dinosaurs and Cadillacs. The toy line the comic and video game was its own thing

I just started down the rabbit hole on these. What an amazing history. Sony made 22 million of these. They're like playing cards. I just ordered an MZ-R50.

I like it how it's based on a cheap prop, which was made out of a women's Gillette shaver. (And then the CommTech toy ended up being used as a prop in Red Alert 2's live action cutscenes)

Yes a clearer picture but it a marginal improvement that nobody bought because it cost more and most people had basic Analogy TV. ANY improvement was basically pointless

That is awesome! I feel like the next one needs to be George Lucas, especially as Star Wars helped popularise the action figure as we now know it (and shrewdly kept hold of the rights when no one else thought they would catch on!)

My favorite Spielberg is Raiders. Everything he did on that was impressive from drawing the storyboards, composing the shots. I highly recommend the 4 film Rinzler book.

I have the Japanese Gatefold it kind of sucks it's not CAV. But I think its 3 sides. I also have the Evergreen both are 4:3 Pan and scan. I also have the Us Letterbox. A bunch of times I have almost picked up the Japan set, but everyone wants 80 bucks for it. And while I do like the sequels, I'm kind of a die hard fan only of part 1. The only copy of II and III I have are US letterbox, every other copy is just the original.
